FAQs

  • My current rate is $150 per appointment.

I also offer a limited number of discounted spots for those in need. If cost is a barrier, please reach out to discuss available options.

  • I currently offer appointments on a Thursday.

  • Clients are booked into three, six or twelve month blocks, given the slow and steady nature required to best support you, while helping me to plan our work accordingly. The number of sessions needed during that time depends on many factors, like your concerns, availability, and financial situation. However, I usually recommend 12-20 sessions for the most effective outcomes.

We can discuss this in detail during our first appointment.

  • I understand that sometimes things come up, and you may need to reschedule or cancel your appointment.

However, if an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, the full session fee may be charged. This policy is in place to ensure fairness to both the practice and clients who may have wanted that appointment time.

For full details, please refer to my Informed Consent & Service Agreement.

  • Yes. I maintain a confidential practice in line with the PACFA Code of Ethics. What you share in counselling is treated as confidential and is used only for the purpose of providing professional care, such as clinical notes and supervision.

However, there are limited circumstances where confidentiality may be broken, including when required by law or where there is a serious and immediate risk to your safety or the safety of others.

For full details, please refer to my Informed Consent & Service Agreement.

  • No. As a registered counsellor, my work focuses on supporting emotional wellbeing through counselling and psychotherapy rather than formal diagnosis. While we may explore patterns, experiences, and mental health concerns together, I do not provide clinical diagnoses or assessments. If a formal diagnosis is required, I can help you explore appropriate referral options.

  • Not at this time. Counselling services are not currently eligible for Medicare rebates, as counsellors are not Medicare-approved providers. Mental health care plans therefore cannot be used for these sessions.

  • I am not currently an NDIS-registered provider.

  • At this stage, my practice is not wheelchair accessible and may not be suitable for clients with certain mobility needs.

If accessibility is a concern, I’m happy to discuss alternative options, such as online counselling sessions.

  • That’s completely understandable — finding the right fit matters so if it doesn’t feel right here, I encourage you to explore other options.
